Vincent John (Vinnie) Chiaravelotti, 59, of North Conway, NH, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025. He personified the saying, “There are no strangers here; only friends you haven’t met yet.” Funny, passionate, loving, and kind, Vinnie lived life to the fullest. It brought him great joy to keep everyone around him smiling and laughing. Vinnie instantly connected with people, spreading warmth, and laughs in the process. Born on January 28, 1966 in Lewiston, ME, Vinnie was a cherished son of Mario and Barbara Chiaravelotti, and his presence made a lasting difference in the lives of those around him. A 1985 graduate of Kennett High School, Vinnie was known for his gentle nature, sense of humor, generosity, and loyalty. Whether playing his trumpet in the high school band or with teammates on the soccer field, he had a way of making people feel welcome, telling hilarious stories, and bringing people together. His hobbies included photography of the Mt. Washington Valley, meeting friends for coffee in town, taking scenic drives and various motorcycle adventures. Vinnie managed front-of-house operations at his family’s Italian restaurant, Mario’s, in North Conway for decades, welcoming, serving, and hosting countless locals and tourists alike. In his role at Mario’s, Vinnie helped create meaningful memories that will continue to bring comfort and smiles to all that he encountered. Through Mario’s and his subsequent work ventures in the area, Vinnie expressed his love for the North Conway community, bonding with people through his unique sense of humor. His nieces and nephews couldn’t wait to see “Uncle Vinnie” because he always brought a smile to their faces. He is survived by his siblings Michael Chiaravelotti (Martinez, CA), Gina Gordon (Winston Salem, NC), and Sandra Carruthers (Charlotte, NC), 9 nieces and nephews, as well as two great nieces, who will carry his love with them always. He was preceded in death by his parents Mario and Barabara Chiaravelotti, as well as his siblings Mario (Bim) Chiaravelotti Jr. and Donna Ames. Those who wish to remember Vinnie in a special way (and in lieu of flowers) may make a donation to the North Conway Community Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping youth live a better life through mentorship, education and athletics.
