Sudha McDevitt-McCann, age 18, of Glen, NH, passed away in an auto accident on July 13, 2010. He is survived by his parents, Jim McDevitt and Dot McCann, and his sister, Manju McDevitt-McCann, all of Glen, NH, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Sudha was small in physical stature but big in heart. He had a soft spot for the downtrodden, was a polite and good listener, and made friends easily. Born in Hyderabad, India, he was adopted at age 18 months, was primarily home-schooled, earned his GED diploma this past spring, and was headed to the University of New Hampshire this fall, majoring in Horticultural Technology.
He was a talented musician; playing classical viola, violin, and cello, as well as his rock drum kit. He played at local events as part of the Polaris String Trio along with his mom and sister. He loved mountain biking, cross country skiing, basketball, and music.
Visiting hours are Friday, July 16th, from 600 to 800 PM at the Furber and White Funeral Home in North Conway. A memorial service will be held at the Lutheran Church of the Nativity in North Conway on Saturday, July 17th, at 1100 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite charity in the name of Sudhakar Lawrence McDevitt-McCann.
