Simone Routhier

Simone L. Routhier passed away peacefully on October 25, 2012, 2 days shy of her 90th birthday. She was born in Montreal, Canada on October 27, 1922, one of nine children. On April 3, 1956 she married her American Love Gerard L. Routhier and they had three children Diane, Louise and Ronald.
Simone was a loving mother who cared deeply for her children. She loved singing and dancing to music with her cat Mitsy; loved to tease people with that twinkle in her eyes and that giggle. Flowers, music, soap operas and taking rides to see Christmas lights were among her favorite things. She was young at heart.
Simone touched and enriched many lives with her kind soul and joyful energy, which spread and uplifted anyone and everyone around her. She was grateful and appreciative, as was the family, for the care given to her by aids, nurses, hospice and others from Mineral Springs Nursing Facility. She would always say ‘thank you! You treat me like a queen.' The family thanks you as well for the funny and happy stories about Simone.
She is survived by her daughter Diane and son-in-law Joe Boucher, daughter Louise Routhier, son Ronald Routhier, two brothers and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Gerald, three brothers and three sisters.
Visiting hours will be Friday November 2, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Furber and White Funeral Home in North Conway. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday November 3, 2012 at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of the Mtns. Church in North Conway.
