Sara N. Barton

Sara Nell Barton aged 83 went to her heavenly home on August 2, 2024, she was surrounded by her loving children. Sara was a beloved mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her. Sara was born on February 6, 1941 in New Castle, Virginia where she spent her formative years. She moved to New Hampshire right after graduating high school. Sara graduated from Macintosh College in Dover New Hampshire and worked most of her adult life. More than anything Sara was a dedicated, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved spending time in nature and the outdoors instilling that love in her children and grandchildren. Sara was a supportive friend and companion to many. She loved creating and was proficient in many art forms. Sara was a lifetime member of the Order of Eastern Star. Sara is survived by her children, Mary and husband Michael of Harrison, ME, Rebecca and AL of Conway, NH, Randy and Tiny of Elk Creek, VA. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Thomas and Tamera of Denmark, ME and Chloe, Joseph and Jessica of Palmetto, FL and Torbin, James of Harrison, ME, Matthew and Kristin of Palmetto, FL and Michael and Giada, Luke of Denmark, ME, Elizabeth of Bradenton, FL and Liana and Keira, Joshua and Melissa of Parrish, FL, and Kodah and Nakiah, Annabell of Bradenton, FL, Sara of Gorham, ME, and Jaxson, Jennifer and Brian of Tamworth, NH, and Zac and Cam, Jerry and Amanda of Buxton, ME and Noelle, Joshua and Lisa of Bristol, TN and Corbin, Selena of Bristol TN. Sara’s memory will be cherished by all who knew her, she was always a lady, and an example of strength and courage to us all. Arrangements were made through Furber Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, August 6th from 4-6 pm at Furber Funeral Home, North Conway, NH. There will a private graveside service for the Family at Lary Cemetery in Gorham NH.
