Sally McIntyre Tucker passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024 in Katy, Texas at the age of 85. Sally was born June 15, 1938 in Lynn, Massachusetts to William and Virginia McIntyre. She had two brothers, Alan Boyd and William David McIntyre, who preceded her in death. Sally lived in the Greater Boston, Massachusetts area throughout most of her high school years. However, prior to her senior year in high school, her family moved to Edina, Minnesota. She attended Colby-Sawyer College in New Hampshire then moved to New York City to live and work where she also met and married (divorced 1975) Garrett Tucker of Houston, Texas. They settled in Houston in 1971. Sally worked for the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center Division of Surgery for many years. She was also the Executive Assistant to K.S. “Bud” Adams, owner of KSA Interests and the Tennessee Titans (formerly Houston Oilers) football team. She loved reading, cheeseburgers, Tex-Mex, white wine, and chocolate, and was fiercely proud of her family. She also loved her neighbors on Locke Lane and her bridge partners. Sally is survived by her children James (Whitney) Garrett Tucker of Daniel Island, South Carolina, Jonathan (Beverly) Burnell Tucker of Katy, Texas, and Elizabeth Tucker Smith of Montgomery, Texas as well as six grandchildren, Jack, Will, Jonathan, Katie, Christopher, and Kameron.
