Ruth E. Carter, 90, of Intervale died October 11, 2010 at Mineral Springs in North Conway. Born in Atlantic City, New Jersey, the daughter of Elton and Edna (Morgan) Braddock, she grew up in Glassboro, NJ and moved to the Mt. Washington Valley in 1984.
Mrs. Carter graduated from Glassboro (NJ) High School in 1938 and she worked at the former Heritage New Hampshire in Glen for 17 years as the Lady of Portsmouth.
The family includes her husband of 72 years, Albert E. Carter, Jr. of Intervale; a son, Alan L. Carter and his wife Joyce of Seaside, NJ; a daughter, Shirley Zepp and her husband Junior of Glen; four granddaughters, Pam Carpenter of Center Conway, Stephanie Skidmore of Lakeland, FL, Amy Ferandes and Beth MacDowall, both of Toms River, NJ and five great grandchildren.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
The Furber and White Funeral Home in North Conway is in charge of arrangements.
