Ronald Delaney Obituary

Ronald Bernard “Bo” Delaney passed away on January 2nd, 2025 at Memorial Hospital in North Conway. Bo was born October 29, 1947 to Elouise (Colbert) Delaney and Bernard Delaney of North Conway. Bo grew up in the Conway valley and graduated from Kennett High School in 1966. After high school he was drafted into the military. Serving for the Navy during the Vietnam war as an Attack squadron; he received many medals for his bravery. Navy unit commendation ribbon National defense service medal (first award) Republic of Vietnam campaign medal Armed forces expeditionary medal (Korea) Vietnam service medal (one silver star) After his time in the military, Bo made his way back to his home town of Conway NH. Bo was actively engaged amongst the community. From dispatching at the Conway police station, working as a general contractor and for years he ran and maintained the Conway ice rink., the place his son, Patrick has memories of learning to skate. He also ran a small hobby shop selling baseball cards. Patrick has fond memories of his father and Bo’s childhood friend Jeff Smith antiquing. Bo is remember for his tall tails of treasures buried under the home and supporting his son at his hockey and baseball games. He was known to be a great pool player, proud member of the American Legion. He loved the horses, dog tracks and was a familiar face at the blackjack table in Oxford Maine, his second home. Bo is survived by his son Patrick Delaney and the mother of his son; life long friend Tamara Eldridge. Tamara’s daughters; Petra Eldridge, her daughter Autumn Callow. Quince Lafrance, her husband Chris Lafrance, their daughters Samantha Lafrance and Amanda Lafrance. Bo was proceeded in death by his parents Elouise and Bernard Delaney, his sister Judy (Delaney) Fallen and Joyce (Delaney) Wilkinson. Arrangements were made through Furber Funeral Home and Cremations Services. There will be an honorable military service at the legion in Conway on April 6, 2025.
