Roger Drew Obituary


Roger Elwin Drew (61) of East Conway Rd. passed in the evening of October 9 after a courageous battle with cancer for 2 years. His loving family was at his bedside at the pondarosa.
Roger graduated from KHS and served in the Army for 2 years before he met and married Sheila Lucy of Conway in 1970. They were together 38 years and had three endearing sons, Philip of Center Conway, Aron of Dummer, NH and Brandon of East Conway Rd.
Roger was owner of North Conway Disposal from 1971 until January 1 of 2009 when his son Brandon took over the business.
He is preceded by his father Elwin Drew of Silver Lake, his mother Barbara Drew of Conway, two brothers, Roy and Raymond and a twin sister Roslie.
He leaves behind his sister Carol King of Silver Lake and two Nephews Elwin and Gilbert King, two granddaughters Maria and Amber, four grandsons Mitchell, Gage, Mason and Micheal.
Roger was a good honest man of "Simple Pleasures" and few wants. His dear family meant the world to him and he offered much common sense and good advise. Along with farming he enjoyed Guiding hunting and fishing trips, playing poker and being with his many friends. He will truely be missed by many.
Services will be held October 14 (Weds.) at 10 A.M. at the methodist Church in Conway with Rev. Sue Davidson. Burial will be at the Conway Village Cemetery. No wisiting hours. A reception will be held at Merlinos following services. In liew of flowers donations may be sent to the Methodist Church, box 315, Conway , NH 03818.
The Furber and White Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
