Robert “Bobby” L. Thompson, of Conway, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at the age of 77. Bobby was born and raised in Conway and attended Kennett High School before serving in the US Army. He worked as the butcher at the Conway IGA for over 30 years. He loved living in the White Mountains and knew every hiking trail, fishing hole and blueberry patch off the Kancamagus. He was predeceased by his parents, Leslie and Marie Thompson, and his sister, Karen Estey. He leaves behind his loving partner, Roberta “Jeannie” Allen, of Conway as well as her children and grandchildren. He enjoyed hiking and picking berries with Jeannie. He leaves behind his daughter, Sarah Toomey, of Tolland, CT and grandchildren, Coleman Toomey and Harper Toomey. He also leaves behind his sisters and their families – Shirley and Chuck Hamlin of Loudon, NH, Linda and Norman Day of Naples, FL, and Kathi and Tim Brown of Tamworth, NH. Bobby will be remembered for his love of fishing, hunting, gardening, cribbage and watching the Celtics, Red Sox and Patriots. He was a great cook with a sharp sense of humor. He especially loved his time fishing and hunting with Charlie Comer, Wayne Jones, and Tyler Palmer and many others that came up to camp on Saturday nights. Arrangements were made through Furber Funeral home and cremation Services and visiting hours will be at Furber Funeral Home, 2925 White Mount Highway in North Conway, NH from 4 – 6PM on Friday, June 21, 2024.
