Robert Donahue, 81, of Conway, NH, passed away in his
sleep, July 27, 2010 at the Mineral Springs of North Conway Care
and Rehabilitation Center in North Conway, NH.
Born in Medford, Ma August 5,1928.He was the son of the
late Bernard D and Adeline B (Mcneil) Donahue, residing in
the North Conway area for over 30 years. He graduated from
Perley High School, Georgetown, a Class of 1947.He also attended
the Macintosh Business School, Haverhill, Ma.He served with the
U S army, First Calvary Division during the postwar occupation
of Japan, Honorably discharged.
He worked as a general contractor in housing development
since 1952.He was an active worker in scouting, supporting the Lone Tree
Council in Haverhill, Ma and was also an advisor to members of the Order Of The Arrow. In later years, he served on the Planning Board for the town of Eaton; N H.
He leaves his loving wife, Anne (Kingsbury) Donahue. He also leaves sisters
Marie A Mueller of Stoneham, Ma and Ramona M Donahue of Topsfield, Ma and brothers Daniel J of North Hampton, NH and Ronald J of
Peabody, Ma. He was predeceased by a sister Frances E Burrell and brothers
Bernard J, Bradford G, Richard J and Francis J. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
A private funeral service will be held for family members at the Furber and White Funeral Home, 2925 White Mountain Highway, North Conway, NH.
