Below is the obituary for my grandma Rita Tessier. I included the language for the services but please edit as needed. I wasn't sure what time exactly to include for visiting hours since church service is at 11am. Please let me know if you need anything else. Thank you, Shana Altman Rita B. Tessier, 93, of Madison died May 9, 2026 at her home. She was born in Salem, MA, the daughter of Wilfred and Yvonne Sigman (Vaillancourt) Rita was united in marriage to Robert A. Tessier on June 22, 1952. They were married for 70 years before he preceded her in death. Rita was a longstanding member of Our Lady of the Mountains Church. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Rita will be remembered for her kindness, strength, quiet wisdom, and love for family. She spent many years in her garden, painting, and cherished time with her family and friends. She was the mother of four children, Christine Tessier Hobbs and predeceased by Paul Tessier, Patricia Tessier Quint, and Peter Tessier. She was the grandmother of 10 children and great grandmother of 14 grandchildren. Her love will stay with us in the small traditions she passed down, the life lessons she taught, and the memories made throughout her lifetime. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at 11am in Our Lady of the Mountains Church. Burial will be in Our Lady of the Mountains Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2026 from 10am-11am at the Furber Funeral Home in North Conway, NH.
