Ralph M. Capachietti Jr.
July 27, 1953 – February 19, 2026
Ralph M. Capachietti Jr., 72, of North Conway, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 19, 2026, with his family by his side.
Born in Beverly, Massachusetts, on July 27, 1953, he was the son of Ralph Capachietti Sr. and Gail Capachietti. Known to many as “Mike,” he lived with a full heart, a strong faith, and an unmistakable love for the White Mountains he called home.
Ralph made his life in North Conway, where the mountains matched his spirit — steady, adventurous, and deeply rooted. For 26 years, he worked in the Facilities Department at Memorial Hospital (MaineHealth). He took quiet pride in his work and in serving the community he loved. To him, it wasn’t just a job — it was a responsibility and a way to contribute to something bigger than himself.
A true outdoorsman, Ralph embraced all that the White Mountains had to offer. He loved skiing the slopes, playing and coaching hockey, and riding his motorcycle along New Hampshire’s scenic roads. The roar of his bike and the carve of skis down fresh snow were expressions of the freedom he cherished. Some of his most treasured memories were made at the family camp on Ossipee Lake, where time slowed down and family meant everything.
Ralph was a man of deep and abiding Christian faith. He believed in Jesus Christ as his Savior and spoke openly about his faith to those around him. He wanted people to know there was hope, light, and purpose in life. His warm and outgoing personality made him a friend to many. He could strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere, about almost anything — and often did.
Above all, Ralph loved his family. He was deeply proud of his children and carried that pride with him always.
He is survived by his mother, Gail Capachietti of Beverly, Massachusetts; his children, Micayla Capachietti of New York City; Cristin Capachietti of Gorham, Maine; and Jonathan Capachietti and his wife, Anna Lochwood, of Gorham, Maine.
He is also survived by his siblings: Steve P. Capachietti and his wife, Valerie, of Meredith, New Hampshire; Linda Johnson and her husband, Mark, of Amesbury, Massachusetts; Laurie Macrae and her husband, Steve, of Amesbury, Massachusetts; Robert Capachietti of Beverly, Massachusetts; and Jason Capachietti and his fiancée, Sandra Eichel, of Salem, Massachusetts.
Ralph was formerly married to Cathy Brewer of Sebastian, Florida.
He is also survived by eight nieces and nephews: Christie, Sarah, Andrew, Kate, Bethany, Chris, Cameron, and Matthew.
