Paul Cheney, 88, of Conway died January 11, 2010 at his home following a sudden illness. Born in St. Marie, Quebec, he was the son of Avit and Marie Jean (Morrissette) Cheney. He graduated from Franklin High School
He was a US Navy veteran of World War II and served four years in the South Pacific.
Paul worked many years for the former Yield House in North Conway and he had worked at the Aubuchon Hardware Store in Franklin.
The family includes his wife Pearl (Pennock) Cheney of Conway; a son, Rodney P. Cheney and his wife Denise of Goffstown; a grandson Kevin Cheney; two sisters, Claudette Cheney of Franklin and Denise Day of Ft. Meyers, FL and several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the NH Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen. There will be no visiting hours.
The Furber and White Funeral Home in North Conway is in charge of arrangements.
