Patricia B. Roberts, a life-long resident of Jackson, New Hampshire, died on November 16, 2009, at Mineral Springs in North Conway.
Born on March 22, 1922, Pat was the youngest of five children born to Cedric and Catherine Hodge of Jackson. Pat's husband Tink (Milton) Roberts and her two sons, Michael Clemons and Larry Clemons predeceased her. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Barker Hodge, Stanley Hodge, Lucy Lieber and Betty Abbott.
Most of Pat's working-life was spent in the hospitality industry. She cooked for many years at Christmas Farm Inn, waitressed at Kelley's Restaurant and worked at other places such as Dana Place Inn, Thorn Hill Lodge and Black Mountain Ski Area. She enjoyed her family and friends in Jackson and her trips to Florida to visit her life-long friend Marilyn Hill-Chappee.
Pat always enjoyed cocktail hour and dinner with her friends and family. She entertained us all with her great sense of humor, storytelling, and wonderful meals that were fit for a king and queen. For many years her entire family would gather at Christmas Farm Inn for the Thanksgiving holidays with her and Tink as our "hosts". Pat took charge of preparing us all with a wonderful dinner, all night card games, and a great weekend of turkey and football as well as some untraditional Thanksgiving fun.
Pat's most recent years were spent at Mineral Springs, where she developed many good friends and got to know the staff quite well-and they got to know "P-AAAH-TRICIA" quite well! She was always the first to participate in dressing up for the Halloween Party (one year she costumed in a painted-on bikini), she always attended the Fryeburg Fair for her bloomin'onion, and she was especially known for her enthusiastic participation at "tea time" on Thursdays. It comes as no surprise that Pat knew just the right person at Mineral Springs to prepare that cocktail to her liking.
Pat is survived by her daughter-in-law Sarah Clemon
