Natalie Rowell Obituary


Natalie E. Rowell, 83, formerly of Conway passed away October 21, 2009 at the Courville of Nashua. She was born on April 3, 1926 in Ashland, ME, the daughter of Edmund and Lottie (Palmer) Botting..

She attended Conway School and was employed by the former Heel Mill in Conway and the Yield House in North Conway. Many years were spent at her husbands' side helping to run the family business, Bud's Service Station.

She was a longtime member and past president of the Eastern Slope Emblem Club #330. In 1944 she was recognized as a victory farm volunteer.

Her family includes a daughter, Pamela S. Richardson and her husband Harvey of Hollis; four grandchildren, Matthew T. Richardson and Heather A. Richardson of Hollis and Dawn Zapolski of Chocorua and Tracy Libby of Freedom and several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Natalie was predeceased by her son, Fernald "Butch" Rowell, Jr., her husband, Fernald "Bud" Rowell, Sr., her grandson, Kimball Alan Rowell and all eleven siblings.

Graveside services will be Monday October 26, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the Conway Village Cemetery in Conway with the Rev. Larry Smith pastor of the Hollis Congregational Church, officiating. There will be no visiting hours.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in her name may be made to the Carroll School, 25 Baker Road, Lincoln, MA 01773.

The Furber and White Funeral Home in North Conway is in charge of arrangements.
