Muriel Tancrel

Muriel Elaine Look Tancrel, 86, passed away peacefully on August 25th, 2023 at the Memorial Hospital in North Conway. Born to Margaret Richardson and Otis Look in E. Machias Maine. Muriel was predeceased by her mother Margaret and father Otis, husband Bert, son Stan and granddaughter Jaime. She was married for forty-two years to the love of her life, Bertrand Tancrel, and shared all that love and life brought to her in Trenton, Maine, Eastbrook, Maine, and Boynton Beach, Florida. They spent their final retirement days in Conway New Hampshire. Family meant everything to her and was the glue that kept everyone in the family in touch with one another. She was a loving mother of three daughters and one son; daughters Deb and husband Stoney, of Conway, New Hampshire, Anita and partner Richard, of Franklin, Maine, MaryAnn and husband David, of Trenton, Maine, and son Stan of Lantana, Florida. Muriel has nine grandchildren; Jaime, Alexandra, Rylie, Jason, Joshua, Jesse, Julianne, Matthew and Alia; nine great grandchildren; Anastasia, Cameron, Mackenzie, Alecia, Jeremy, Aubrey, Ollie, Josie and Beckett; and one great- great grandchild; Kingston. Muriel, also lovingly known as “Mimi,” loved decorating her homes, gardening, swimming, cooking and especially was fond of the art of canning. She loved sharing her cooking and if you were lucky enough to receive one of her mason jars, then you were considered very special to her. One of the many jobs that she loved was being a bartender, where she met lots of people and had such fond memories and lifelong friendships. Our family is so thankful to all of the special caregivers that touched mom’s life. There are too many to list here, but you all know who you are and we are forever grateful. Dr. Rabideau, his nurse Rose and their team of caregivers, as well as the nurses, doctors and staff at the Emergency Department, and the Medical Surgical Department of Memorial Hospital, Visiting nurses and Hospice of Carroll County. Our family thanks you all! There will be a graveside service on Sunday September 17th 2023 at 11:00am at the Conway Village Cemetery on Washington Street in Conway, NH with a celebration of life to follow.
