Maureen DeBaggis, 84, of Silver Lake died December 27, 2010 at Mineral Springs in North Conway. Born in Hartley Pool, England, she met her husband, Reggie DeBaggis, during the war and they were married in England. Following World War II she came to the US on the Queen Mary to join her husband and they lived in Franklin, MA for 25 years prior to moving to North Conway in the early seventies.
Maureen owned and operated the former MRD Copy Center in North Conway for twelve years.
She had been very active with Arts Jubilee for many years, the former Volvo Tennis, the Jerry Lewis Telethon and many more things in the Valley.
She had been a member of the former Eastern Slope Emblem Club # 330.
The family includes her daughter, Dianne R Turner of Ocala, FL; two grandsons, Michael Mohla and Scott Mohla, both of Silver Lake; five great grandchildren; a brother, Dennis Robinson of New Mexico and a sister, Joan Robinson of Wales.
She was predeceased by her husband Reggie DeBagggis in 2008 and their five children in 1954.
Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery in Franklin, MA later in the spring.
The Furber and White Funeral Home in North Conway is in charge of arrangements.
