Mary A. Lucas

Mary Ann Lucas, 87 of Grove Street North Conway passed away at home on Monday, April 14, 2025. She was born in Dover NH on July 7, 1937, the daughter of John and Mary Randall. She attended Dover schools and graduated from Kennett High School, class of 1955. In 1955, she married Kenneth Lucas. Together they celebrated 61 years of marriage until his passing in2017. Together, they raised four children, DiAnne Chase and her husband Brian, Richard, Deborah Scott and her husband Robert, Donna Neenan and her husband Kenneth. Grandchildren Melanie Chase-Benoit, Brian Chase, Amanda Connley, Kenneth Lucas, Daniel Lucas, Makenzie Dube, Eleanor Dube, Olivia Pope, Murphy Neenan, and Macaul Neenan, her sister Joan Cowburn, stepbrother Robert Christensen, several Great Grandchildren along with extended family and friends. After having four children, she went on to attend the University of New Hampshire and graduated with the class of 1973. She then went on to teach Home Economics at Spaulding High School in Rochester NH for more than 20 years, retiring in 1996. She was an avid seamstress as well as a doll collector, belonging to several doll clubs in the area. She was predeceased by her parents John and Mary Randall, Stepmother Marion Randall, husband Kenneth Lucas and a stepbrother John Christensen. Arrangements were made through Furber Funeral home and Cremation Services. Their will be a funeral held at Furber Funer Home on April 22nd at 11:00am. The family would like to thank the staff of Memorial Hospital and Visiting Nurses of North Conway for all their care and comfort these last few months.
