Marion M. Randall, 93, of North Conway died June 27, 2012 at the Memorial Hospital in North Conway. Born in Quincy, MA, the daughter of George and Lucy (Carter) Morton, she had lived in the Mt. Washington Valley all of her life, attended the Jackson Schools and graduated from Bartlett High School.
Mrs. Randall worked in her father's garage in Jackson in the 1930's, the Government Rationing Office from 1942 to 1943 in North Conway and had been a bookkeeper at the former North Conway Loan and Banking for over twenty years. Marion also had been a bookkeeper at the North Conway Water Precinct, Ragged Mountain, North Conway American Legion Post # 95 and their family business, the former White Horse Equipment and Landscaping, all in North Conway.
She had been a member of the former Washington Chapter # 44 O.E.S. in North Conway and the First Church of Christ Congregational.
She enjoyed knitting, needlepoint, knitting sweaters and mittens for children and she was an avid hiker and fisherman.
The family includes her stepdaughter, Mary Ann Lucas and her husband Kenneth of North Conway; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; eight great great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews including the late Myke Morton.
She was predeceased by her husband, John D. Randall in 1985 and her brother, Parker F. Morton in 1991.
Memorial services will be held Monday, July 9, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the First Church of Christ Congregational. Burial will be in the North Conway Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours.
