Marillyn (Ross) Libby died Thursday, August 5, 2010, after a brief illness at Memorial Hospital, North Conway, NH.
She was born in Berlin, NH on October 20.1927, the daughter of Edmond and Madeline Rooney. She was a graduate of Gorham High School in Gorham, NH and shortly after graduation married Howard L. Ross also of Gorham.
Marillyn spent 25 years in the town of Fryeburg, ME where she was a member of the First Congregational Church and volunteered and supported many activities at Fryeburg Academy and was an avid supporter of her children's sports and activities at the school.
She worked at The Yield House in North Conway, NH and made many friends while working there.
Surviving are her beloved husband of the past twelve years, Robert Libby of Center Conway, NH; her children Russell Ross of Portland, ME, his wife Claire and daughters Lindsay and Kathleen; Lucinda Ross of Cambridge, MA and her children, Ricky Kline and Alexandra Kline; Michael Ross of New Durham, NH and his children Abigail, Ethan, and Alison; Margaret Ross-Laramie of Center Conway, NH her husband Bill and children Alec and Dylan; a stepson, Michael Libby and wife Deborah of Windham, ME; and three great grandchildren.
Marillyn was predeceased by her first husband Howard L. Ross; by a son, Kevin; and by a stepdaughter, Patricia Libby.
Marillyn was extremely fortunate to meet a neighbor, Robert Libby, thirteen years ago. He became her best friend and devoted husband as they traveled and spent many happy hours together enjoying life and family. She particularly enjoyed her role as Grandmother to Alec and Dylan and loved telling stories about their escapades.
There will be a celebration of her life to be held at the community house of Mountain Vale Village, 1476 E. Conway Road, Center Conway, NH 03813 on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 3pm.
Internment will also be on Saturday, August 21, at 10am at the Lary Cemetery in Gorham, NH.
