Malcolm James Abbott, 76, passed away suddenly at his home in Conway on December 13, 2010. Mick, as he was known to his friends and family, was born on October 1, 1934 to Harry and Lois Abbott of Center Harbor, NH. He worked for Conway Service Center on Main Street for years until starting his own successful Refrigeration and Appliance Repair Business in the mid 70's. He loved collecting antique cars, die cast toy trucks and working in his woodshop. He also loved his two dogs, Tucker and Coco.
He is survived by his brother, George S. Abbott Sr. of Albany, NH, his sister, Francis Turgeon of Rochester, NH and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by two brothers, Junior and Arnold, and one sister Arlene Pecola.
No visiting hours will be held. A graveside service will be held at the Conway Village Cemetery at 11 AM on Friday, December 17, 2010 with the Rev. Dr. Donald F. Derse, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Animal Rescue League North.
The Furber and White Funeral Home in North Conway is in charge of arrangements.
