Louise M. Gray, 90, of Conway, New Hampshire died at her home on Friday, June 15, 2012. She was born on February 16, 1922, to Arthur and Alice Fernald at their farm on Black Mountain in Jackson, New Hampshire. On June 20, 1943, she married Lawrence L. Gray. Following his service in the army during World War II, they made their home in Snowville, New Hampshire before moving to Eaton, New Hampshire where she lived for 57 years. Growing up on a farm in Jackson in an earlier time, Louise enjoyed remembering when the school bus was a horse drawn buckboard wagon and when she sugared in the spring with her father and the sap barrel was on a sleigh drawn by horses, Ben and Myra. She was always willing to share her memories and pictures with others. Louise grew up hiking the mountains in and around Jackson and never lost her love of hiking. She continued to hike mountains until 75 years old.
Louise was a longstanding member of the Journey Church in Conway, New Hampshire. She enjoyed the fellowship of other Christians. Louise was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence L. Gray; her brother, Lewis Fernald; her son, Lawrence M. Gray; and her son, David Gray. Louise is survived by two daughters and a son, Carol Bennett and her husband David of Conway, New Hampshire, Nancy Gray of Bath, New Hampshire and Sherwood Gray of Conc
