Kimberly Anne Bowker, age 56 passed away unexpectedly in a car accident with her partner Dave Condoulis on December 11th, 2024. Born in Mt Kisco, New York, Kim found her home in Pennsylvania, California, Colorado, New Mexico, Alaska, New Zealand, Wisconsin, Oregon, and New Hampshire. It was in New Hampshire where she met Dave and happily lived in the village of Eaton for the last 16 years. Always up for the adventure, Kim spent a summer camping in Alaska and working at a fish cannery and another summer backpacking New Zealand before finally settling down in an un-insulated school bus in the mountains of Colorado she fashioned up with pizza boxes to keep her protected from the weather. Never taking the traditional route, Kim created her own unique college experience chasing her love of nature and ending up at the Jordan Institute of Alternative Energy. At Jordan she majored in alternative energy systems which would lead her to climbing windmills in Greenbay, and later land her in a long career in renewable energy. Kim made lifelong friends in every corner of the globe in which she traveled. Her infectious laugh, goofy smile, and engaging demeanor drew people to her everywhere she went, creating bonds that surpassed distance and time. Her magnetic personality and warmth extended beyond her two-legged friends and led her to foster and rescue many dogs over the span of her adult life. These furry friends quickly became family, and like her human friends, couldn’t get enough of her. Kim jumped into challenges two feet first, seeing them as opportunities for growth, learning, and new experiences. Marching to the beat of her own drum, she was never afraid to speak her mind but was always open to new ideas. She will be remembered for her feisty attitude, grit, passion, and affection for all things living. Kim is survived by her Mother Jeanne Bray, Step-Father James Bray, sister Kellie Bowker, Father Jeff Bowker, Step-Mother Janet Bowker, half-sister Katie Bowker, step-sisters Maura Fox, Margaret Kanak, Jennifer Altadonna and step-brother Larry Altadonna, nieces and nephews, a mountain of friends, and her sweet pups Mako and Tilly. Kim will be sadly missed by all who knew her. A Celebration of Life will be held in Eaton New Hampshire in the Spring of 2025. Arrangements were made through Furber Funeral Home and Cremation Services. If you would like to make a contribution in Kim’s name to recognize her life long love affair with her beloved dogs, you may donate to: Long Journey to a New Beginning Animal Rescue.
