Justin J. DeSilva of Bartlett NH passed away on Wednesday July 5th, 2023. He was 95 years old. Born in Boston, Massachusetts he was the beloved son of the late Lucy (Gonsalves) and Justin DeSilva. Justin began his over 40 year teaching career as a shop teacher in the Revere Public School System. He was a graduate of Fitchburg State University. He later earned two masters degrees from Salem State University, which enabled him to do the majority of his teaching at Saugus High School as a Social Studies teacher. During the summer recess he was also a gifted house painter. After his retirement from teaching his love of the outdoors brought him to New Hampshire in the late 90s. He was a lover of music and enjoyed playing guitar. He would volunteer his time to play his guitar and sing for the residents of Mineral Springs in North Conway New Hampshire. He enjoyed camping, canoeing and fishing. Justin was an avid sports fan, supporting all of the Boston sports teams, especially the Red Sox and Patriots. He was a lover of life and would sit for hours telling stories and sharing family memories. He had a distinctive infectious laugh and wonderful sense of humor. Justin formerly resided in Revere with his late wife Louise (Chick). He is survived by Justin Jr.and his wife Mary DeSilva, Christine (Jankowiak) and her late husband Paul, Alfred DeSilva and his fiancée Jodie Driscoll and John DeSilva. After Louise's passing Justin moved to NH where he met and married the late Nancy (Donnelly). He was the stepdad to Leeann Donnelly and her boyfriend David Butler, and the late Susan Dalton, and Thomas Donnelly. Justin was the brother of Joyce Capitao of Lynn and her husband John, and the late Dorothy, Alfred, Lillian, Evelyn, and Ron. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Justin was a devout Catholic who, with his wife Nancy, was an active member of Our Lady of the Mountain's Church in North Conway.
