John Wilcox Jr. Obituary

John E. Wilcox Jr., 92, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at memorial Hospital in North Conway, NH. He was born in Yonkers, NY to the late Marguerite (Buschette) and John Edwin Wilcox Sr. After graduation from Roslyn High School, John attended Hofstra University for two years before joining the United States Air Force, where he served for four years. He entered the workforce at Laguardia Airport, and obtained his private pilot license. His career brought him to Xerox Corporation, where he worked through to his retirement. In 1965 he married Ann Joudrey, and they made their home for many years in Marlborough, Ma. After retirement, they moved to North Conway where they both became active members of the ski culture, church and community. John was a member of the Schussers Ski Club, the North Conway Country Club, American Legion, and the Federal Aviators Flight Instructors Club. He also volunteered as a ski instructor at Mount Attitash and as a committee member for the annual Memorial Hospital golf tournament fundraiser. John loved skiing, golf and he and Ann were avid world travelers. His faith in Christ was a quiet but steady part of John’s life. He was a longtime member of St Margarets Anglican Church in Conway where for many years he served as a reader. John was predeceased by his parents, his wife of 56 years, Ann, his brother Bruce Wilcox of Malvern, PA and his nephew Craig Wilcox of Pennsylvania. He is survived by his nieces, Jane Wilcox of Pennsylvania and Claire Johnson of Alabama, as well as his many friends The celebration of John’s life will be held by his family and friends on Saturday April 11, 2026 at St. Margarets Anglican Church, 85 Pleasant St Conway, New Hampshire at 12 noon. Burial will be private. We welcome all who knew John to join us.
