John R. Pia

John R Pia of North Conway NH passed away on Sunday, September21,2025. Born in Brooklyn New York on February 13,1948, then moving with his family to Torrington CT in 1958. He attended Torrington schools and graduated from Hartford School of Accounting. He later made New Hampshire his home, becoming a long-time member of the North Conway community. He worked in local establishments where his ability to connect with people, his humor and spirit touched many lives. John was preceded in death by his parents John and Margaret Pia of Torrington, CT, his twin sister Janet Pia Boisclair of New Hartford CT, and lifelong companion and devoted partner Georges Bisson. He is survived by his brother Albert Pia (Mary) of New Hartford CT, his sister Barbara Pia Miller of Farmington CT, several nieces and nephews, all of whom will forever carry his memory in their hearts. Arrangements were made through Furber Funeral Home and Cremation Services. The family extends a special thank you to Kathy Belcik, a dear friend to both John and Georges for her special care and support.
