Jodi Elizabeth Hickey (Lynn) Jodi Hickey, 72, of Glen, NH, died on December 6, 2025, with family at her bedside, after a five-year battle with cancer. Jodi was born on January 25, 1953, in Schenectady, NY, to William and Doris Lynn. Jodi was the youngest of the three Lynn children. During her youth, she moved around the country due to her father’s work as a general manager at General Electric. Her family eventually settled in Dover, NH. They spent many weekends driving back and forth to ski at Cranmore Mountain before her parents purchased a second home in North Conway. Jodi graduated from Dover High School and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree at the University of New Hampshire. She met her soulmate, Edward Hickey, on a blind date after graduation. They were married on February 7, 1976, in Durham, NH. Ed and Jodi lived in Dover for two years. Jodi worked as a special education aide at Rollinsford Elementary School, where she loved being with the children and watching them grow and learn. In 1979, Ed and Jodi decided to move to Kearsarge Street in North Conway to be closer to Jodi’s parents and her brother Mike. They enjoyed living downtown, close to activities and within walking distance of restaurants. Jodi and her mother, Doris, shared a love of antiques and opened Granite Post Antiques on Kearsarge Street. They spent countless hours antiquing, always searching for something to sell or to keep for their own collections. Ed and Jodi later settled in Birch Hill and started their family. Their son was born in 1981, followed by their daughter in 1982. Jodi was an amazing and loving mother. She was able to stay home with her children while Ed ran his electrical business. When her kids were in elementary school, Jodi began working winters at Attitash Ski Resort, where she met her best friend, Sharon. Together they worked in the nursery and later in the children’s ski program. Jodi spent nearly thirty winters at the mountain and cherished the coworkers and families she came to know over the years. After Jodi’s father’s passing in 2002, she and Ed moved to Glen with her mother. They continued to spend time together shopping and antiquing until her mother’s passing in 2009. Family meant everything to Jodi. She was very close to her mother and ensured that her children grew up close to their grandparents—something both of her children remain deeply grateful for. Jodi was always there for her children, no matter what they needed. She was especially proud of her grandchildren—Bryce, Maggie, and Emmalynn. They truly were soulmates from the moment they met and was happiest spending time with Ed. Jodi is predeceased by her father, William Lynn; her mother, Doris Lynn; her brother, Michael Lynn; and her nephew, Geoffrey Lynn. She is survived by her loving husband of nearly fifty years, Edward Hickey; her children Kevin Hickey (Abbie) of Conway, NH, and Alison Moore of Glen, NH; her brother William Lynn (Mary) of Charleston, SC; her grandchildren Bryce and Maggie Hickey and Emmalynn Moore; and her step-children Jeremy and Julie Hickey. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, December 16, 2025, from 4:00–6:00 p.m. at Furber and White Funeral Home in North Conway. The family wishes to thank Dr. Lachance and the entire team at Gynecologic Oncology in Scarborough, ME, for their care and support over the last five years. Special thanks also to the Visiting Nurses and Hospice Care of Carroll County—especially Lisa, Jen, Debra, Audrey, and Rachel—for guiding the family through the last few weeks. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Eastern Slope Ski Club, in honor of the family’s love of skiing, and to Jen’s Friends Cancer Foundation.
