Joanna G. Kelly, 72, of Intervale passed away peacefully on November 16, 2012 at the Memorial Hospital in North Conway after a long illness.
Born in North Conway on March 25, 1940, the daughter of Galen and Lillian (Kelley) Libby, she grew up in Jackson and Gorham. She lived most of her married life in Jackson where she raised four children with her late husband, Peter E. Kelly, who predeceased her in 1999.
Joanna worked for many years at the Jackson Ski Touring Foundation in Jackson. Her favorite thing in life was spending time with her grandchildren and she enjoyed card games, puzzles and making crafts.
The family includes four children, Timothy Kelly of Tamworth, Kimberly Perley and her husband Daniel of Glen, John Kelly of North Conway and Shannon Suprenard and her husband Frank of Intervale; nine grandchildren, Meagan and Sean Perley, Abigail and Benjamin Kelly, Adam, Caleb and McKenzie Suprenard and Mariah and Jacob Kelly and two brothers, James Libby and his wife Elizabeth of Melvin Village and Jeffery Libby and his wife Carolyn of Somersworth.
Besides her husband she was predeceased by a brother, David Libby, in 1937.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday November 21, 2012 at 1 p.m. in the Dundee Cemetery in Jackson with the Rev. Pojen Lee, officiating. There will be no visiting hours. Donations may be sent to the Gibson Center for Senior Services, P.O. Box 655, North Conway, NH 03860.
The Furber and White Funeral Home in North Conway is in charge of arrangements.
