Born on December 12, 1966, in Big Spring Texas, Jay dedicated his life to serving others, both as a Law Enforcement Officer and a school teacher. Jay served proudly in the Marine Corps, embodying the values of honor, courage, and commitment. After completing his military service, he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Communications from Texas A&M. Additionally, Jay competed professionally in national rugby leagues for several years. Beyond his professional life, Jay was known for his vibrant personality. A loving husband and loyal friend, he was larger than life and renowned for giving the best bear hugs. His love for music and concerts was only rivaled by his passion for cigars, a hobby that allowed him to enjoy many peaceful moments together with his wife and friends. Survived by his wife, Penny, Jay's legacy of warmth and dedication will live on through her and all who knew him. Arrangements were made through Furber Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
