Harry Otis Johnson, 77, of Conway, N.H., passed away on January 22, 2024, at Epsom Health Care Center following several health issues. A native of Tamworth, Harry was the Son of Forrest W. and Pauline Johnson. A 1965 graduate of Kennett High School, He was inducted into the Military at the age of 18 in May of 1966. He served in the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1969 and received a purple heart for being injured in the war. Harry was an employee of the Yield House for 26 years. He enjoyed fishing and especially enjoyed picnicking and camping throughout the Northeast and all of the Sunday drives to Bay Haven with his wife Ruthie. In addition to his parents, Mr. Johnson was predeceased by his sister Karen Pandora, as well as his brother, Dennis Johnson and his wife of 52 years Ruth Ann (Hallet) Johnson. He is survived by his son, Harry Matthew of Center Conway; his three granddaughters, Samantha, Emily and Kylee; his brother Arthur Johnson of California, Forrest R. Johnson of Tamworth and his sister Margaret Flint of Center conway; also dozens of nieces and nephews of three generations and his special friend, Wendi Plant. Arrangements were made through Furber Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Burial services will be October 19th at 11:00 am at the Conway Village Cemetery officiated by longtime friend, Brian P. Wiggin.
