Gwendolyn C. Keith, 87, left for her heavenly home on March 16, 2010, at the Edgewood Centre in Portsmouth.
Born in North Conway, the daughter of Samuel and Martha (Willey) Allan, she was a long time resident of Raymond and more recently of Victoria Heights in Portsmouth.
A godly woman, she dedicated a good portion of her life caring, along with her husband, for dependent and neglected children at Greer School and The McQuade Foundation, both located in New York.
In retirement years she was very involved in the church and contributed faithfully to the National Day of Prayer Program at the Raymond Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter Sue Sorrentino of Somersworth and several nieces and nephews.
Sue wishes to thank all of Gwen's caregivers for their wonderful love and support.
Graveside services will be held in the North Conway Cemetery in North Conway at a future date to be determined.
The Furber and White Funeral Home in North Conway is in charge of arrangements.
