Gloria Vasconcellos, age 90, passed peacefully at her home in Intervale, New Hampshire, surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in New Bedford, Massachusetts, Gloria was the daughter of Jeanne and Wilfred Benjamin. Gloria was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister whose life was defined by kindness, generosity, and a genuine care for others. She was known by all who met her as someone always ready to help, listen, and offer warmth and encouragement. An avid skier, Gloria worked for many years as a ski instructor, joyfully sharing her love of the sport with students of all ages. She also generously gave her time as a volunteer at the local hospital gift shop, where her friendly presence brightened the days of patients, visitors, and staff alike. Gloria was preceded in death by her husband Daniel Vasconcellos, who passed in 2001 and her son Mark Vasconcellos, who passed in 2022. She is survived by her children Diane Van Amersfoort, Susan Guarglia, and Steven Vasconcellos; her cherished grandchildren David Anderson, Julie Van Amersfoort, Nick Guarglia, and Logan Guarglia; her great grandson Jace Anderson and her beloved older sister Constance Clery, along with extended family and many friends who will miss her deeply. Gloria’s legacy of kindness, helpfulness, and quiet strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. A church service will be held at Our Lady of the Mountains Parish on Saturday January 24th at 10am.
