Gerald B. "Bounty Hunter" Thompson, 56, of Center Conway died July 28, 2010 at the Memorial Hospital in North Conway following a long illness. Born in North Conway, the son of Frank and Geneva (Brown) Thompson, he was a lifelong resident of the valley.
Mr. Thompson had worked at the Fryeburg Transfer Station for four years, for the former Plum Potter Salvage Yard for twenty years and for nine years at North Conway Incinerator Service prior to his illness.
He was an avid NASCAR fan.
The family includes his wife, Joyce H. Thompson of Center Conway; a daughter, Charlotte Rand of Great Barrington, MA; three stepsons, Kurt D. Rowe, Jr. of Clarksville, TN, Joshua M. Rowe of Littleton and Richard J. Rowe and his wife Heather of Stoneham, ME; four grandchildren; a brother, Rockford Thompson and his wife Linda of Center Conway and a sister, Laurie Velez and her husband Paul of Sanbornton.
Graveside services will be held Monday August 2, 2010 at 10 a.m. in the Center Conway Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Rose, officiating. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Furber and White Funeral Home in North Conway.
