Francis M."Frank" Graham, Lieut.BPD (Ret.) of Glen NH, formerly of Charlestown and Scituate MA, passed peacefully, surrounded by his family on Jan.21 @ 76 years young. Beloved husband of Paula (Hanson). Cherished father of Michaela of No. Conway NH and Mark of Portsmouth NH. Son of the late John and Bridget (Burke); brother of the late John Graham; beloved uncle and Godfather of Holly and her husband Dan Sutherby of Brockton MA. Much loved son-in-law of Mary and the late Buddy Hanson of So. Boston. Brother-in-law of Bill Hanson of Marion MA; Doris and her husband Rodney Mitchell of Middleton MA; Maureen and her husband Bob Kane of Quincy MA; Lois and her husband Dan Picard of So. Boston. Lifelong friend of Marco Reffi of Charlestown MA. Sadly missed by the Graham, Hanson, Kane and Picard nieces and nephews & their children. Cousin of the Kavanagh Family of Charlestown, and the Burke/Gleeson Family of Waterford City, Ireland. Devoted neighbor to Eleanor Zachary, now of Woburn MA. Frank served on the Boston Police for 37 years. His favorite memory of the job was receiving Communion from the late Pope John Paul II on Boston Common. Frank's loves were his God and Faith, Family, Country and "the job". He was an indefatigable volunteer, visiting local nursing homes to sing to the patients, skiing w/ "his kids" at Attitash on Bartlett School Ski Thursdays. Past Grand Knight of Council 7575 K of C; Past NH Dist. Deputy; Faithful Communicant and Usher at Our Lady of the Mountains Parish; favorite substitute teacher at Bartlett Elementary School, where the 8th Graders dedicated their yearbook to him in 2012. Director and Greens Chair of the Linderhof CC; Director of LPOA; member of Ma Police Assn.; past member of BPPA, SOF, & Detectives Benevolent Society. Member of Clan Graham USA. Honorary Greeter on St. Patrick's Day at Zeb's General Store, where he regaled the staff and customers alike w/ Irish songs.
Frank fought a long and courageous battle w/ prostate cancer.
