Ernestine Comer Obituary


Ernestine Comer, 89 passed away peacefully on November 13, 2010 at her home in Conway.

She was born on March 17, 1921, the daughter of Narcisse and Ernestine (LaFontain) King of Conway. She graduated from Kennett High School in 1939 and worked for many years at Mears Heel Mill and Yield House. She was an avid gardener. She was a charter member of the Mt. Washington Valley Stompers.

She is survived by her three children Lucy Philbrick and her husband Robert of Conway, Charles Comer and his wife Karen of Conway and Ruth Anne Boucher of Conway, her sister Marie Thompson and her brother Arthur and his wife Grace all of Conway, six grandchildren and several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters and six brothers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday November 18th at 1000 am at Our Lady of the Mountains Church in North Conway. There will be no visiting hours. Burial will be in the Our Lady of the Mountains Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Conway Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 342, Conway, NH 03818. The Furber and White Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
