Edythe (Polly) Snell-Carlson, 79, of East Conway died peacefully November 12, 2010. Born in Weymouth, MA, the daughter of Edward J. and Alice (Murray) Rogers, she lived in the Mount Washington Valley for the past 35 years.
She was a devoted sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend to all who knew her.
Polly started her carrier at Kimrick's in Nashua, NH as a manager. She moved up to the Mount Washington Valley in 1975 with her son and his family. Polly resided in East Conway for most of her 35 years in the Valley.
Polly was predeceased by her husbands David Snell and Harold F. Carlson; Mother, Alice Rogers; Father, Edward J Rogers; Sister, Eleanor (Rogers) Thomas and son, Rick Snell.
Her family includes her brother and sister-in-law, Jack & Fran Rogers; a nephew, Donald Rogers and his beautiful family and her grandchildren, Joshua & Kari (Wright) Snell; Aaron Snell, Steve Carlson, Freddie, Nick and Anthony Gallietta; Great-Grandchildren, Logan & Brodie Snell; Lynn (Carlson) Gallietta, Lisa (Carlson) Wassel and family; Richard, David & Dana Carlson, Mary Dean Snell-Canney and Deborah Dexter Lucy.
A Mass Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, November 19, 2010 at 1100 a.m. in Our Lady of the Mountains Church in North Conway. Burial will be in the Conway Village Cemetery following the service. Visiting hours will be Friday from 9 to 1030 a.m. at the Furber and White Funeral Home in North Conway prior to the service.
