Dudley Arthur Hall passed away on February 28, 2025, in Center Conway, New Hampshire. Born on July 6, 1960, in Newton, Massachusetts, Dudley lived a life filled with love, adventure, and cherished family moments. Dudley graduated from Westwood High School, where he played soccer and was a top member of the ski team. He attended the University of Maine, Gordon College and Northern Essex Community College before earning a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from St. Joseph's College. His life detoured to Colorado, where he worked as a firefighter and ski patroller. He returned to New England to a career as a news photographer. His career and passions reflected a deep appreciation for connection and storytelling, qualities that resonated throughout his life. Family was at the heart of Dudley’s world. He shared a loving marriage with Susan Hall, his best friend from high school, and was a devoted parent to DJ Hall, Kevin Mistler, Lucas Mistler (and his wife Allie), Candace Legge (and her husband Craig), and Colleen Mistler (and her partner Thomas Raschi). Dudley also found immense joy in being a grandparent, appropriately known as Grumpy, to Bella, Amelia, and Sophia Mistler, as well as Braxton, Vienna, and Levee Legge. His siblings Nance Hall (and her husband Scott Allen) and Barbara Hall were lifelong sources of support and companionship. His niece, Lindsey and nephew, Ben, were always a source of immense pride. Dudley was predeceased by his parents, Marjorie and Dudley Hall. An outdoor enthusiast at heart, Dudley found peace in kayaking, especially on his beloved Conway Lake, and taking long walks with his dog, Buddy. Time spent playing with his grandchildren brought him endless happiness and laughter—moments that will be treasured by those who loved him. Arrangements were made through Furber Funeral Home and Cremation Services. A memorial gathering to honor Dudley's life will be held on March 29, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at La Familia, located at 263 Shears Street in Wrentham, Massachusetts. In tribute to Dudley's memory, attendees are encouraged to wear blue, his favorite color. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Conway Area Humane Society, 223 E. Main St., Conway, NH 03818 or The Conway Lake Conservation Association, P. O. Box 803, Center Conway, NH 03813. Dudley's warmth and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew them. May his memory bring comfort to those he left behind.
