Donald J. Litchko was taken into the arms of his savior on January 17, 2024, after a brief battle with leukemia. He is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Carole Ann and four children: Brian (Tiffany) Litchko, Johanna (Brian) Barnes, Laura (Richard) Hash, & Lucas, and eight grandchildren, Kara, Josh, Meghan, Zachary, Jackson, Kyle, Ben, & Aidan who were the light of his life. Son Lucas Litchko has dedicated his life to the care of both parents, for which we are eternally grateful. Don is further survived by a loving sister Evelyn Liptak, and brothers Dick and Dave Litchko as well as with their spouses and children, whom he all greatly loved. Although Don had a long and wonderful career with General Electric Aerospace Division in Johnson City, NY and with Ametek, in MA, he is better defined by the many interests and hobbies outside of work. A published author of short stories and self-proclaimed hunter of all fish, Don was a constant learner with interests in woodworking and calligraphy. He sent a weekly newsletter to several hundred people filled with entertaining anecdotes and always embraced the opportunity to learn something new. As a devout Catholic, Don served in many roles in many churches wherever he lived, especially with his beautiful voice in the choir. He was a strong advocate for rights and services for senior citizens in New Hampshire and was recognized by the governor for his efforts. A viewing will be held by Furber Funeral home at Our Lady of The Mountains Catholic Church on January 25 at 1pm followed by mass at 2pm in Conway, NH. Celebration of Life will be held later in Windsor, NY.
