Dennis S. Brown, born on August 18th, 1953, passed away on June 25th, 2024 at his home in Chocorua, NH, surrounded by his wife and children. He was the son of the late Carlos J. and Emma M. (Moore) Brown. Dennis is a native of New Hampshire, and spent his entire adult life enjoying the farm he and his wife Jan built in Chocorua. Dennis graduated from Kennet High School in 1972 and attended the White Mountains Vocational Institute in Berlin, NH. Dennis enjoyed the many years he spent working in the timber industry. He was a master wood craftsman and a long time employee with Country Cabinets, Etc. Dennis’s hobbies included raising sheep, and other farm animals, along with tending his vast vegetable gardens, and working in his sawmill. Dennis was a volunteer fire fighter with the Tamworth Fire Department, as well as a member of the New Hampshire Timber Owner’s Association. He enjoyed the many years he and his wife spent with their children and grandchildren at Danforth Bay Camping Area. He was an avid story teller, and enjoyed spending quality time at the local lakes and streams fishing with his grandchildren. Dennis is predeceased by his parents Carlos and Emma, and his brother Donald, and his sister Debra. He will be lovingly missed by his wife Jan, of 52 years, his son, Scott and significant other Marge, his daughter Jennifer and her husband Chris, his granddaughter, Jacquelyn, her husband Matthew, and their twins, Eva and Everett, his grandson Andrew and his wife Savannah, his granddaughter Isabel, and his grandson Zarik. Arrangements were made through Furber Funeral Home Cremation Services. A grave side ceremony will be held for family and friends on Saturday, July 6th at 11:30 AM at the Chocorua Village Cemetery.
