David Albert Lloyd was born June 24, 1941 in Boston MA. He passed away Sunday, July 7th, 2024 peacefully in his home, The Haley House in North Conway. He was the youngest of four children of Rev. Eugene Lloyd and Marie Lloyd. He was preceded in death by both his parents. He leaves behind his three siblings, Robert Lloyd (Sandy), Ruth Swinerton (Warren, deceased 09/30/15) and Christine (Emile Joseph Savard). He had 6 nieces and nephews, Mark Swinerton (Mary), Becky Corey (Kevin, deceased 02/07/24) Pete Savard (Ann), Paul Savard (Angie), Elizabeth Mullins (Christopher), John Lloyd (Cindy) and 15 grand nieces and nephews and 6 great nieces and nephews. David went to Kennett High School and the Bible Institute of New England. He enjoyed ice skating early on in life and was sought after by ice shows . He played at least 9 different instruments and was prolific at the organ. He played the organ for hockey games in Portland ME. But was known more for the hymns he played in church with flair. He continued to enjoy ice skating well on in life and never stopped playing the organ. You could not listen to him play the organ and not have a smile on your face. He was a local preacher in Effingham Falls, South Effingham and Ossipee Mtn. and officiated compassionately at many funerals. His passion for the organ was only surpassed by his love for God and the Bible. He wanted everyone he met to know his Savior. He loved to cook and bake and would do this often for friends and family. He enjoyed visiting friends and would often show up with a pie in hand. He never knew a stranger and was always there to listen to you or lend a hand when he could. A graveside service will be held on Monday, the 15 at 11 am at the North Conway Cemetery at the top right. Pastor David Gilpatrick and Pastor Fred Laughman will be sharing some words.
