David F. Howard

North Conway, NH David F. Howard, 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 8th, 2026 at Mineral Springs in North Conway, NH. He was born in Boston, MA to the late Elizabeth M (Taylor) and Gordon D. Howard. David graduated from Wakefield High School in 1961. After working several jobs for 5 years, he found his lifelong job at Verizon (New England Telephone) in 1966 and spent the next 35 years there working throughout several Central Offices. In 1986. He joined the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts of Freemasonry and earned the honorable distinction of District Deputy Grand Master in 1996. David is to be honored with his 40 years of dedication to the Freemasons at a later date. He also was deeply involved with the Shriners and one of his most rewarding roles was to provide transportation to children to the Shriner’s Hospital for treatments. David was predeceased by his parents, his Sister Dawn Hall of Texas, his brother Richard (Ricky) Howard of California. He is survived by his sister Laurie Cherry of Westford, MA, sons David of Billerica MA, Daniel of New Gloucester ME, Wayne of Longmont CO., Gary of Burlington MA, seven Grandchildren and one Great Grandchild. The celebration of David’s life will be held by his family and friends on May 9th, 2026 at CVCC(The Brown Church), 132 Main St Conway Village, New Hampshire at 1PM.
