David Condoulis

David Condoulis, 51, of Eaton Center NH died 12/11/24 in a tragic auto accident with his beloved partner Kim Bowker. David was born in Portsmouth, NH and lived in Tampa FL with his parents near his father’s large Greek family until age 15 when he and his mother then moved to Eaton Center and lived with his maternal grandparents He graduated from Kennett H.S in 1990 where he played on the varsity soccer team and made many good friends. He always saw Eaton as his true home and had always been committed to it. David was a cum laude graduate of St. Lawrence University where he developed his lifelong love of birds and was an ornithology TA for 2 years. He spent his last semester in Kenya experiencing life in another culture and could identify every bird living there. In 1992 he and his lifelong best friend Tim Montfort hiked the Appalachian Trail. David married Jen Kovach and they raised very fun goats for her business. They divorced amicably in 2007 and remained friends. David always had a deep love of the natural world and as a youngster was a great catcher of insects, snakes, frogs and toads. He always loved his trips to NH while growing up, attended Camp Tokohomeupog for three summers and was determined to go to high school here. After graduating from college he worked at the Earle Family Farm which led him to see that his work would not be as a person at a desk but outdoors and with his hands. He loved working with wood. He learned post and beam construction, built his own house and was one of the builders for the Tin Mountain Conservation Center Nature Learning Center and their barn restoration. He was passionate about the natural world and loved hiking in the mountains He met the love of his life, Kim Bowker who moved to Eaton in 2009. They shared a world view of service to others and to the environment over financial gain. Both loved the natural world and helping to improve it. They were passionate about their rescue dogs and parented them all to happy endings. They had fun together. David was also committed to his family, staying with his father in his last months of life and helping his mother and aunt through thick and thin. The front patio and back porch stand as testament to his skills and will be enjoyed forever. David was a wonderful, kind, gentle and generous human being who brought his full presence to his relationships making you feel you were the most important person in his life. He always had time for friends, family, his community, and was always ready to help others. He was predeceased by his father Dean Condoulis, his grandparents Joana and Harry Condoulis, Jane and Thayne Williams. He is survived by his mother Judy Fowler and aunt Nancy Williams both of Eaton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Tin Mountain Conservation Center, 1245 Bald Hill Rd, Albany, NH 03818. Arrangements were made through Furber Funeral Home and Cremation Services. There will be a celebration of life on the solstice, June 21 at Tin Mountain Conservation Center.
