Craig Haberland

Craig Haberland, 69, of North Conway died October 25, 2009 at the Memorial Hospital in North Conway. Born in Winthrop, MA, the son of Homer and Virginia (Beless) Haberland, he grew up in Gloucester, MA and moved to North Conway in 2004.

Craig was a graduate of Gloucester (MA) High School, Class of 1958 and a graduate of Lowell Technological Institute in 1962.

He was a general contractor with J.W. Gray, Inc. in Gloucester for fifteen years at which time he purchased the company and operated it until 1986. He was also a building inspector for the City of Gloucester for fourteen years prior to retiring in 2000.

Mr. Haberland enjoyed woodworking, his Mako and trying to catch blue fish around Cape Ann. He was also an avid cross country skier and biker in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Most of all Craig enjoyed helping others.

The family includes his wife of 44 years, Marjorie C. Haberland of North Conway; two daughters, Susan E. Moore and her companion, Dawson Frock of Danvers, MA and Jill E. Judd and her husband Michael of Derry; five grandchildren, Emily, Kate, Rachelle, Jessica and Nicole; a sister, Gail Bielicki and her husband Ronald of Gloucester, MA and a brother, Mark Haberland and his wife Joan of Rockport, MA.

The will be no visiting hours or funeral. Donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.

The Furber and White Funeral Home in North Conway is in charge of arrangements.
