Conrad LaFrance, 84, of Albany died April 19, 2010 at the Memorial Hospital in North Conway. Born in Nashua, the son of Joseph and Andrea (Rioux) LaFrance, he lived in Billerica, MA for 25 years and in Poland, ME from 1985 to 2008 prior to moving to Albany.
He served with the US Navy Seabees during World War II and was a member of the V.F.W.
Mr. LaFrance had been employed by the Town of Billerica for twenty-five years as an ambulance attendant for the police department. Conny also worked as the starter at the Resort at Poland Springs Golf Course in Poland Springs, ME from 1985 until his illness.
The family includes two sons, Brian J. LaFrance of Albany and Rodney C. LaFrance of Costa Rica; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; six sisters; one brother and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Ruthann (Torpey) LaFrance and a daughter, Cheryl Bourque LaFrance in 1998.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Furber and White Funeral Home in North Conway is in charge of arrangements.
