Claudia M. Graves, 70, of Fryeburg, ME passed away at the Memorial Hospital in North Conway November 24, 2010 peacefully with her family by her side. She was born in Lewiston, ME on April 25, 1940, the daughter of Vivian and Erma (Rich) Hatch, she was raised in North Waterford, ME where she graduated from Gould Academy in 1958 and then moved to East Conway where she married Richard Graves of East Conway in June of 1958.
Claudia was an avid gardener and deeply enjoyed spending time with her family baking for the holidays in her free time she enjoyed doing many crafts. She was always there to lend a hand, listen or just give love to whoever needed it. Also in her final years loved to volunteer at her church the New Church of Fryeburg, ME. Claudia's doors were always opened to her children's friends. Her fondest memories were spent vacationing at Cape Cod, MA with her children.
She is survived by her mother, Erma Hatch of Norway, ME; two sisters, Linda Hatch of Norway, ME and longtime companion Fred Fox and Sandra Bumpis and her husband Richard of South Paris, ME; Her children Sallie Bolduc of East Conway, Laurie Lundblad and her husband Mark of Conway, Vicki Graves and Tom Fadden of East Conway, Julie Fox and her husband Steve of Center Conway, Lisa Butters and her husband Jason of Center Conway, Robin Brett and her husband Chris of Fryeburg, Susan Graves of Fryeburg and Bill Jackson and his wife Amanda of Baldwin, ME; 13 grandchildren, Samantha, Mark, Tommie, Scott, Ashley, Jessica, Kyle, Shawn, Richard, Joshua, Felica, Deanna and Rich and two great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Alexis.
Claudia was predeceased by her father Vivian Hatch and her son Michael Graves.
Visiting hours are Sunday November 28, 2010 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Furber and White Funeral Home in North Conway. Funeral services will be held Monday November 29, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the New Church of Fryeburg with a remembrance of her life.
Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to the New Church o
