Charles Essenheimer Obituary


Charles A. Essenheimer, 85, of Center Conway died Tuesday December 27, 2011 at the Memorial Hospital in North Conway following a brief illness. Born in Boston, MA, the son of Charles and Winifred (Shannon) Essenheimer, he had lived in Bridgewater, MA for 16 years before moving to Center Conway in 1994.
Mr. Essenheimer had been a Boston Police Officer over twenty years and retired as a sergeant. After leaving the police department he worked over twenty years as an investigator for the Alcohol Beverage Commission Control in Boston.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Mountains Parish in North Conway. He enjoyed working around his home doing concrete work and he also loved to fish and spend time with his grandchildren.
The family includes two daughters, Janice Carroll of Abington, MA and Laura McConville of Braintree, MA. a son, Charles D. Essenheimer of Winthrop, MA; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and three sisters, Winifred Fitzgerald of Bridgewater, MA, Ruth Driscoll of Braintree, MA and Helen Acone of Center Conway.
He was predeceased by his wife, Jeanette C. Essenheimer, on August 22, 2011.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday December 31, 2011 at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Mountains Church in North Conway. Burial will be in the Center Conway Cemetery later in the spring. There will be no visiting hours.
