Carol Phillippe Kramer of Silver Lake passed away peacefully at home on the morning of March 15, 2026. Known for her curious nature, she applied her Zoology degree from DePauw University towards a career as a researcher for Time-Life Books in the late 50’s and early 60’s. Following her marriage to Ted Moulton Kramer of Ossipee NH in 1968, she pursued her passion for singing, not only in church choir groups, but also with small choral groups from such diverse locations as North Carolina to Rhode Island to Ohio and New Hampshire. Carol will be remembered for her devotion to the PEO sisterhood which helps financially support women in furthering their education. She served in various roles, culminating in the New England District Presidency. She served on numerous non-profit boards in the Mt. Washington Valley including Arts Jubilee, Starting Point, and the Madison Scholarship Fund which provides all Madison graduates with financial aid for continuing their education. She chaired the scholarship committee for many years and devoted much time to the evolution of the scholarship into the 501c3 organization that it is today. Carol will also be remembered for her work as a rescue EMT, from which she went back to school to become a licensed Paramedic. She was active in many outdoor sports including tennis, golf and her recent love of rowing her boating skull on Silver Lake. Her family is grateful for the unparalleled care, love and professionalism of the Oncology Team at Memorial Hospital. Carol is survived by her loving husband Ted, her sons Kyle of Bakersfield VT and Kevin of Freedom NH and her 3 greatly loved grandchildren: Noel in VT, and Katherine and Ellizabeth of OH, her loving sister Sue (Tom) Raschella of WA and Sister-in-Law Cindy Phillippe as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her father Gerald L. Phillippe, mother Jean Reese Phillippe, and her brother Richard Phillippe of NY. Memorial services celebrating Carol’s life will be held at 1:30pm at the Madison Baptist Church on Saturday April 18, 2026 with a reception to follow at Traditions Restaurant. The family requests that in lieu of remembrances, donations are welcome to the Madison Scholarship Fund, c/o Liz Brown, 147 Walnut Loop, Silver Lake NH 03875.
