Bernice “Mickey” Leavitt

Bernice “Mickey” Wade Leavitt, 93, went to be with her Lord on Monday, June 12th, 2023. Mickey had been residing in Golden View Nursing Home in Meredith, NH since February 2022. She was the daughter of Leon and Verna Wade.

Mickey had been a resident of Center Conway most of her life. She was loved and respected by all she came in contact with. She was the organist at the Center Conway Methodist Church for over 35 years. She always made sure that there was a floral arrangement on the organ that would hide her.

Mickey was known for her love of animals taking in numerous strays in her lifetime. It was nothing for her to have 6 or 7 cats and 3-4 dogs at any one time. She even enjoyed feeding the wildlife as well.

Mickey was predeceased by her parents, Leon and Verna Wade, her siblings Leon, Virgil and Muriel, a great granddaughter as an infant, her husbands Ralph Leavitt and Roger Price.

She is survived by her son, Michael Leavitt and his wife, Nancy, a grandson Wayne Leavitt and his wife, Kelli and their daughter, Dominique.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her name to Conway Humane Society.

A graveside service will be officiated by Rev. Sue Davidson at the Center Conway Cemetery on Sunday, June 25th, at 11:30 am.
