Friday March 29th 2024, Audrey Vorperian, age 93, died of natural causes with her 2 children, Bruce Vorperian of Intervale NH and Alpharetta GA, and Robin Tallino of Framingham MA by her side. Audrey was predeceased by her Husband, Zaven K Vorperian and her Son, Todd D. Vorperian. She also leaves behind her Son in Law, Paul R. Tallino and her Granddaughters, Elizabeth and Cassandra Tallino. Audrey and Zaven moved to NH in 1964 where they began their journey as the Directors of Carroll County YMCA Camp Huckins. The all girls camp in Freedom flourished under their leadership and guidance. They were helped to encourage many girls from all over Carroll County, New England and many places far and wide over the world to attend Camp. It was a lifelong mission to empower young women in any way possible. Even though Audrey was never a skier, she joined the Eastern Slope Ski Club and was the longest standing board member, she worked tirelessly to make sure that the ski sale was always a huge success so that so many of the Valley could have the opportunity to ski. Audrey was a substitute for the John Fuller Elementary School and started a Mother's volunteer group to assist teachers with some of their daily responsibilities. She was involved with the Pequawket Foundation, the Connie Watson Davis Foundation and President of her Condo association for many years. She was an active member of the First Church of Christ and volunteered for the Vaughn Community Services. Audrey was truly a mover and shaker in North Conway, always for the benefit of Children and Families. Arrangements were made through Furber Funeral Home and Cremation Services. In place of a traditional funeral, we will be having a Celebration of Life later on in the Spring, further details will be provided closer to the date of the event.
