Funny, strong, caring, and devoted to her family and community, Ann was also involved in the church, volunteered in the nursing home, and taught skiing at the Eastern Slope Ski Club after moving to North Conway in 1984, when she and her husband bought and ran the Buttonwood Inn in North Conway, named after their street in New Jersey where they lived for most of their married lives. Ann also loved a good party and was known to enjoy a scotch and water until she switched to red wine in her later years. Ann was predeceased by her husband Hugh Begley, son Walter Begley, sister Joan and brother-in-law Richard Goettler, brother Garry and Mary Doncourt. Survivors include her brother Peter Doncourt, her children, sons Jim (wife Robyn), Tim (wife Elizabeth), Paul, and daughter Ellen Begley.
